Thank you for taking the time to write up such a thorough Project Scope. Clear scopes makes it easier to get a clear picture of what the customer wants. From the description I do not see any reason why this cannot be done in Excel with VBA code. For the past 15 years I have worked with Excel/MS Access and 12 years with MS SQL Server 7.0, 2000, and 2005. I have been doing my contracting work with VWorker/Freelancer for the past 3 years; during that time I have completed 70 projects ranging from Excel/Access VBA to SQL Server database constructions. In my experiences over the past 3 years I know how daunting it is to try and describe what you are wanting along with sifting through numerous bids. As you can see from my reviews I strive to make sure my customers are happy with my services. I take a lot of pride in my work and stand behind anything I create for 6 months. Such jobs are my daily practice. I plan to complete the project via writing an Excel macro contained in a separate XLSM file. This approach makes further use of the macro very convenient by offering a Control sheet containing cells populated by the usual Open file and/or select folder dialogs to identify the current input and output files and hosting command buttons and other controls if necessary. Further use of macros, fixing of bugs and minor changes are included in the bid without any additional fees. Regards!
