Appliciation to send midi notes

I just bought a Cakewalk UM2G as usb Midi interface. Now I need a Visual Basic project that will send out midi-notes through that interface. I don't need to receive anything, just send a note. The Cakewalk has 2 outputs so ideally I would like a function that I can call where I tell the note and the output. For example: SendNote (note, output) Who has a Cakewalk and can do this for me? Please keep in mind that this is a very urgent project! Thank you.
