This is NOT an experiment. So please be honest when you bid. Only experts please. My laptop: Dell Inspiron 1150 - 512MB RAM, 60GB hard disk. Dual boot - Win XP, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop. Problem: This concerns UBUNTU. I run the upgrade command to move from 8.04 to 10.04. It nearly finished but just before it did (at 99%), there was an alert about flash plugin not being in good shape. I tried sending an error report. But it failed. With it, the installation stopped. Now when I boot, it shows 10.04 but it only comes to the initial screen for about 3 seconds and it vanishes. The screen remains blank. No sign of disk operation. I don't know how to fix this. This is serious. Please help me with this. Be generous with your bids.
## Deliverables
Just help me recover from this mess and have 10.04 running.

Please note that I cannot give anyone remote access. The winning bidder will tell me what commands to use and I'll follow instructions. Since I'm a developer, I don't think I'll have trouble following. It's just that I'm not very familiar with Ubuntu troubleshooting.
