I can create this game for you - I will do three, possibly four levels. I will be using MonoGame on Windows, and have many years of experience writing C code, so this is going to be quality work.
As an FYI I'm doing this work at a monetary loss, because I'm new here and intend to gain a good reputation.
The sprites and the sounds will be as close to the original ones as possible, but the level backgrounds may be simplified slightly since I don't have enough time to copy those pixel for pixel. The start menu will be of my own design, while the game experience will be a good approximation of the original game experience.
My code is heavily commented - and intended to be easy to understand - so that anyone can quickly get into adding additional features, such as new enemies and levels to the game. The paths of the enemies might not be 100% like the original game, so that is possibly an exercise for you. ;-)
I'll give and take feedback on completed milestones/progress, and will do support for a week afterwards.
For convenience, Project Files for Visual Studio 2013 will be included. The game should be easy to get up and running in other versions, as well as in software other than Visual Studio. MonoGame currently support iOS, Android, MacOS, Linux, Windows, Windows Store, Windows Phone, and PlayStation 4 with more platforms on the way. I can not provide support for platforms other than Windows, however.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon,
Martin.
