Need someone to do a little bit of research + phone calls

I am looking for freight and shipping companies across the United States in specified metropolitan areas. I want someone to find these companies by searching the internet. The companies I am looking for will be able to pack and ship items at any given location in the metro area. Note these are not regular shipping companies such as Fedex, UPS, etc, but smaller outfits that are regional usually. We often purchase items sight unseen over the internet from government auction web sites and other sources. Since we are not located at the place of pickup we cannot prepare the shipments or be there when they are picked up. We need a shipping company that is able to go on location to pick items up, prepare them for shipping, and then ship them to us either via fedex ground (for very small items) or freight for larger items. Large items should be made into pallets when necessary and otherwise properly package to prevent damage. Please let us know if this service could be provided by you and what kind of charges you would bill for each type of service (picking up, packaging, shipping etc). Also let us know the range from your office you are willing to travel and any mileage or other fees. In other words if an item such as a photocopier needs to be shipped, I need them to be able to actually prepare it for shipment AND pick it up from any location and bill me for this. Many companies will not pick up shipments if they are not prepped for shipping. Ask if they can palletize or otherwise package or prepare the shipments in addition to picking them up. Here are the metro areas needed. I need a shipping company for each: Florida - (Miami, Tampa, orlando, jacksonville, sarasota) georgia - (atlanta) kentucky - (Louisville, Lexington) maryland - (Camden, baltimore) Missouri - (St Loius, Kansas City, New Jersey - (Newark) north carolina - (Norfolk, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro) ohio - (Cincinatti, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Akron, Toledo) south carolina - (Columbia, Charleston, Greenville) tennessee - (Nashville, Memphis, Knoville, Chatanooga)a texas - (San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, El Paso, Austin) virginia - (Richmond) So for each city I need two companies that can do this sort of service. Please also ask what the rates are for pickup or prepping and use the average size photocopier or a reasonable size 100lb computer printer as examples. Put this info on a spreadsheet and you are done. You may have to call a few companies in these areas to find one that will do it. The main priority is just that its 100% clear each provider is willing to do the task of pickups of items not prepped for shipping and that costs are also 100% clear. Here is a list of specific questions that need to be answered. 1. We buy things online from government auctions and other places and the people we purchase from do not always ship the items or prep there for shipping. Is picking up items up, prepping them for shipping, and holding at location for freight or (UPS/Fedex) pickup a service that you offer? (If they say yes) 2. How big of an item are you able to pickup? Is there a size or weight limit? 3. For large items can you palletize? 4. What fees would you charge to either package or palletize and what is the fee breakdown? 5. How far are you willing to travel from your main office? 6. What is your office address? 7. List all fees not already mentioned such as milage fees or trip fees etc. 7. What days of the week and hours are your services available? Please make sure that all of these questions are addressed on the spreadsheet and that it is organized by metro area and then shipping company and other data after. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS JOB BY EMAIL. YOU MUST CALL THE PLACES. SOMEONE TRIED TO DO THE JOB BY EMAIL AND THAT DID NOT WORK VERY WELL. There will be a total of 72 providers needed. 2 for each area.
