I need you to create a calendar of historic events for a specific subject for me. You will go through each day of the year - starting with January 1 and continuing through December 31 and find any important event that occurred on that day in the past for a specific subject that I will assign to you. The important event could be from any year in the past. See detailed requirements for more information.
## Deliverables
The easiest way to get these events is from Wikipedia and that is where the majority of these events will be found. However, I am also looking for events and/or pictures that may be found elsewhere through a Google or Bing search.
As an example, let's say we were talking about Baseball. The easy events can be found by doing the following Wikipedia search: <[login to view URL]:en.wikipedia.org#sclient=psy&hl=en&safe=off&source=hp&q=%22The+following+are+the+baseball+events+of+the+year+%22+%22june+1%22+site:en.wikipedia.org&pbx=1&oq=%22The+following+are+the+baseball+events+of+the+year+%22+%22june+1%22+site:en.wikipedia.org&fp=b39bfbe6a4b47d32>
You would have to do this search 365 times (one for each day of the year) and find all of the events that occurred on each day. In the above query, June 1, you would record that:
June 1, 1968 - St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Joe Hoerner ties a National League record for relievers with 6 consecutive strikeouts vs. the New York Mets.
June 1, 1941 - Mel Ott's 2-run homer, the 400th of his career and his 1,500th RBI, gives the New York Giants a 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
And continue for all of the years available. And, then you would need to do a Google and Bing search for "June 1 Baseball" to see if you immediately see any other major events for that date that are not included in Wikipedia.
The subject that you will be researching is not as popular as Baseball so there will be many less references .
The final deliverable will be a document that lists every event that you can find in chronological order for the entire year. You will need to include a URL of where the reference was found for each and every event.
My best guess is that there will be about 2000 to 2300 total events that you record (about 5 to 6 per day).
