Hello, I'd love to help you with your project. I typically charge by the audio minute, so if you can provide that information, I can alter my bid. My rate is $1.50AUD for difficult to hear audio, or poor sound quality. I have worked with challenging audio files before and am persistent in trying to catch as many words as possible. I've done work for a journalist from England who did most of his interviews in coffee shops that played music in the background. Add to that the fact that the men had heavy accents, and to say it was a challenge is an understatement. But I enjoy the challenge of trying to get as much as possible from what I listen to. I do not use speech-to-text software. I listen to the tapes, sometimes multiple times, and also do a thorough proofreading of the document. Hi I am interested in bidding for this project. I consider the accuracy of my transcription to be high. This means no typos, as well as to correct punctuation in sentences. With regards to grammar usage and fillers words (e.g. ums, ahhs), I am able to tweak it as per your requests. You have also mentioned that the recording was taken in a busy environment which might make the transcription work rather challenging. But I am rather resourceful and if I come across any unclear terminology, I do take the initiative to search for them first ( it doesn't take long with internet). Reaching out to clients is my last resort for such issues. I usually take 3 hours to transcribe 30 minutes of recording, followed by another hour to proofread and review the transcripts. As I am not sure, how long your recording is, please kindly use this as a gauge to estimate the time I will be taking for your project. I have previously taken on similar projects on Freelancer and Upwork. I have just completed a 178 minute transcription project today, and submitted it to the client one day before the deadline.
