The program must stitch these images together and output a bitmapped image to file. The bitmapped image should use plate carrée projection (or any other sphere mapping projection), so that we may add this image as texture to a sphere. If you can come up with an alternative solution using google street view that would also solve this task we would also consider hiring you for that.
